Converting MS SQL 2005 database to MS SQL 2008?
I really wanted to know if the personal website starter kit works with visual web developer 2010 and MS SQL Server 2008 sp1? Do I have to convert the database? I also wanted to know if there is any free asp.net hosting. Please tell me.
How to use SQL Server 2008?
I am creating a client side application, and I usually use ms access for its database. But recently I am trying to use sql server 2008 and I was totally lost.
I have really no idea how to use SQL server 2008. Unlike MS Access, we can create a new database by just click on the new blank database button. But for SQL server, it looks like I need to connect to somewhere. Can someone explain to me how to create a new database in SQL server 2008?

MS Windows 2008 64Bit Server with 32bit XP, W7 Workstations?
Hi,
I have planned to add a MS Windows 2008 64bit server into an otherwise work-group type network of XP and Windows 7 32 bit work stations.
This is going to be the first and only file/print server with MS SQL database.
Should the 32bit workstations face trouble in accessing 64bit server, and the sql database on it?
Or, should i go for 64bit operating systems on work stations also? Will my existing 32 bit applications work on the 64 bit workstations in that case?
I know it is whole lot of questions. Can some one point me to correct direction. Thank you.
Can I install SQL Server 2008 Developer Over Sql Server 2008 Express ?
I installed VS 2010 Premium (which installed MS Sql Server 2008 Express. I have not run either one yet…but they are installed. I have a copy of SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition and I want to install it and use it instead of the Express edition.
Do I need to uninstall anything Or Do I install it right over the express edition ?
Any other suggestions or resources you think I should look at before or during the setup of SQL Server 2008 Developer.
Thanks so much for any input.
